Downloading and Installing the Redback App

Android

1. Open the Playstore application on your mobile device
2. Search for Redback Tech – Energy Manager
3. Tap on the App. Note: Ensure you download the App that has the white spider on a red background
4. Tap Install
5. The Redback Tech – Energy Manager app will now download and install on your mobile device

iOS

1. Open the App Store on your mobile device
2. Search for Redback Technologies – Smart Energy Manager
3. Tap on the App. Note: Ensure you download the App that has the white spider on the red background
4. Tap to retrieve the App
5. Tap to install the App on your mobile device

Accessing your inverter on the Redback App

When you are on your home network

If you are using the App for the first time, you will need to link your inverter up to your App:

1. Open your App
2. Tap on Settings
3. Tap on Account settings
4. Enter your email and password
5. Tap Log in
6. Once you have successfully logged in, tap on the header Settings again, and tap on Find inverter
7. Tap on Find existing inverter
8. A pop up will appear. Tap Local
9. Another pop up will display asking if you want to search current network for existing inverters. Tap Yes
10. Your inverter’s serial number and IP should display. Tap on it
11. Tap ok

Now that you have linked your inverter up to your App, you just need to ensure that your mobile device is on the same network as your inverter (e.g. your home wifi) to start using the App

When you are away from home

1. Tap on Settings
2. Tap on Account settings
3. Enter your email and password.
4. Tap Log in
5. Tap on the header Settings again, and tap on Find inverter
6. Tap on Find existing inverter
7. A pop up will appear. Tap Remote (cloud
8. A Result pop up will display. Tap Ok
9. Tap to select your home inverter

You will now be able to access your inverter details and settings remotely
